| Certification and control of quality |
Following the international standard requirements ISO 9001:2000 and Food
Safety Management systems following the international standard requirements ISO
22000:2005 the Quality Management Systems were developed and implemented in the
confectionary factories of Roshen Corporation.
According to ISO 9001:2000 international standard, product quality is defined as a degree
of customer's satisfaction from the product and services, with all consumer's
requirements claimed met and expectations satisfied.The ISO 9000:2000 standard defines
that the effective quality management includes both provision of quality and management
of quality. Provision of quality of confectionary products at the stage of developing and
implementing to production by the companies of the corporation is based on establishing
the requirements for raw materials, semi-finished products and ready products by the
technological services of the factories and performing the validation of control methods
(the procedure affirming confidence that the methods meet the established criteria) by
the laboratories of quality control services.
According to ISO 22000:2005 international standard, product safety is defined as the
assurance that the product in question, when consumed according to its intended use, will
not prejudice the consumer.
ISO 22000:2005 international standard establishes requirements to the Food Safety
Management System (FSMS) that covers the whole production chain: accepting and storing
raw produce, preparing semi-processed goods and producing finished commodity, storing and
delivering finished commodity to the consumer, with the safety foods risks controlled at
all the stages of the production process.
Meeting requirements set forth in ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005 international
standards assures the consumer that the company is able to produce safe foodstuff of the
quality claimed.
The Certificate of conformity proves that the company in fact meets the requirements
established in these international standards.
